Laura Rosin, Lucky Star Yoga founder and instructor, is a Bloomfield Hills school teacher, with a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education. She is a survivor of bullying and loss of a parent as a child. Growing up, Laura wished she would have
known about yoga, and how it could have helped her overcome her childhood struggles. As an adult she discovered yoga, and decided to earn her 200 hour RYT certificate at Blue, with Justin Barnes. After completing this training, she devoted herself to helping better the lives of children through yoga. She went on to earn her 95 hour RCYT to make a difference for children, teaching them resilience, emotional intelligence, self-esteem,
flexibility, and inner peace.
Laura teaches acceptance of self and others, building character, encouraging respect, and empathy. She helps her students stabilize and regulate their feelings, emotions, and thoughts. Laura’s lessons teach children to appreciate and connect bodies to their emotions, and to develop self regulation. Self regulation is the navigation system of a child’s ability to expand their view of tolerance, to live creatively, to be in the present moment, and to not be traumatized by various life events. Her lessons teach how to live emotionally healthy lives, and to how to form and maintain strong relationships with others.
Laura teaches yoga in an encouraging environment where all children can feel safe and respected. Her classes create a joyful exploration of nurturing imaginative thinking and collaboration while taking healthy risks to try new things, supporting children to embrace their own unique gifts. She offers unique opportunities for her students to teach by connecting with others
and creating their own poses, while executing leadership skills in a kind and respectable way. Laura’s classes are woven of a unique fabric..the fabric made of the joy and love of a child connecting with their hearts, bodies and minds. This connection
cultivates happiness in a special journey of a child discovering themselves.
